1. Cash on Hand
Include all money you have readily available — at home, in wallets, or bank accounts (savings and current).

💭 Tip: Include any funds you’ve lent to others if you expect repayment.

2. Gold & Silver
Enter the total grams of gold and silver you personally own — jewellery, coins, bars, etc.

The calculator will automatically convert these to NZD based on current Nisab values.

3. Business Assets
Add the total value of trade goods, stock, or business cash that you own at the end of your zakat year.

Exclude buildings, equipment, and vehicles used for daily operations.

4. Debts Owed to You
If someone owes you money and you expect repayment, include that amount here.

If repayment is uncertain or delayed, you may omit it for now.

5. Liabilities to Deduct
Enter short-term debts due within the same zakat year – e.g. credit cards, rent, bills, or business payables.

Do not deduct long-term loans (like a 30-year mortgage).

6. Nisab Basis
Select whether you want to calculate based on Gold (85g) or Silver (595g).

💭 Scholars often recommend using silver for a more cautious and socially beneficial approach.
